So let’s get into why I love this system so much, and how all of this snowballed recently! I’m going through a Sega Genesis renaissance (a “Genaissance” if you will-I’ll be here all week folks) and have been collecting quite a bit the past few months. One thing has led to another, and I’m obsessed again. Especially older, nostalgic titles! I usually turn to my favorite Nintendo series, but after playing some older Genesis titles with some of my best friends before moving I kept thinking about it. When big changes happen in life, I’ve always found games to be comforting.

The real money comes from trafficking drugs, arms, and women into "civilized" space.

Recent captures of pirate-operated mule freighters has resulted in a crackdown and much more stringent checks. While unarmed smuggling vessels comprise the majority of the pirate fleet, the Outer World Pirates operate a number of armed vessels for detaining and hijacking other ships in deep space. Of these, there are many corvette-class vessels: fast, nimble craft used for ambushing merchant vessels and destroying their escorts. But the Outer World Pirates also possess heavier starships: hijacked destroyers and dreadnoughts that serve to defend their enclaves from unaffiliated pirates, or glass settlements that failed to pay their protection tribute.Īs long as there are ships, there will be piracy.
